Wine Maker Eline Aloy, discovered her niche of winemaking at 26, hence the name of her vineyards – Ventisei- twenty six. Ventisei takes pride in being a biodynamic and organic vineyard. Eline Aloy describes this Rosé as “a celebration of femininity”. This bright rose is crisp, full of strawberry, watermelon, and dragon fruit notes. Aloy says this wine is “is a tribute to girls, women, sunshine, courage, charisma and elegance.” Cheers to a summer of new adventures!

BROWN ESTATE CHAOS THEORY RED 2019 | NAPA VALLEY

The Brown family put down roots in Napa Valley in 1980 growing grapes to sell to local winemakers. In 1995 the second generation of the Brown family decided to make their own wine at Brown Estate, and in 1996 they released the inaugural vintage of their Napa Valley Zinfandel. They are the first and only Black-owned estate winery in Napa Valley, growing and vinifying Zinfandel as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Primitivo, Tempranillo, and Sauvignon Blanc.This 2019 vintage is a blend of 35% Merlot, 35% Petite Sirah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Zinfandel. At first sip your senses will pick up heavy fruit notes, followed by lighter notes of licorice and black pepper. This wine is must order bottle for the whole table.
Award-Winning Wine Lists
Both Posana and Bargello hold distinguished awards from Wine Spectator. Posana was Asheville’s only independent restaurant in 2014 to be awarded Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. They have continued to achieve that level of recognition through 2018 when they kicked things up a notch and earned Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence, once again to be the only independent restaurant in Asheville to achieve this level of recognition. Posana’s cellar focuses on sourcing wine from small production vineyards with a focus on organic, sustainable, or biodynamic growing and production principles. Posana has maintained Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence consistently since 2018. Recipients of Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence offer a wine list displaying “an excellent breadth across multiple wine growing regions and/or significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation. Typically offering 350 or more selections, these restaurants are destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service team.”
Bargello, opening in October of 2019, launched with a magnificent wine list and went on to receive the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator in 2020. We look forward to sharing our collections with you!
